Degenerate RFID Channel Modeling for Positioning Applications
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper introduces the theory of channel modeling for positioning applications in UHF RFID. It explains basic parameters for channel characterization from both the narrowband and wideband point of view. More details are given about ranging and direction finding. Finally, several positioning scenarios are analyzed with channel models developed. All the described models use a degenerate channel, i.e. combined signal propagation from the transmitter to the tag and from the tag to the receiver.

A Real-time Laboratory Testbed for Evaluating Localization Performance of Wifi Rfid Technologies
I Abstract A realistic comparative performance evaluation of indoor Geolocation systems is a complex and challenging problem facing the research community. This is due to the fact that performance of these systems depends on the statistical variations of the fading multipath characteristics of the wireless channel, the density and distribution of the access points in the area, and the number of...
متن کاملRFID-Based Vehicle Positioning and Its Applications in Connected Vehicles
This paper proposed an RFID-based vehicle positioning approach to facilitate connected vehicles applications. When a vehicle passes over an RFID tag, the vehicle position is given by the accurate position stored in the tag. At locations without RFID coverage, the vehicle position is estimated from the most recent tag location using a kinematics integration algorithm till updates from the next t...
متن کاملPrinciples and Techniques of RFID Positioning
Radio frequency identification (RFID) systems, which basically consist of readers and tags, were originally developed for the identification of tagged objects, as the name RFID implies. Recently, precise positioning and tracking of RFID tags or readers has received considerable attention from both academia and industry. For example, finding the position of RFID tags is an important task in vari...
متن کاملOverview of RFID-Based Indoor Positioning Technology
Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology was originally invented for military uses. From 1980s, commercial RFID products started to be available and they were mainly applied in areas of supply chains, transport, manufacturing, personnel access, animal tagging, toll collection etc. Nowadays, RFID has been recognised as an emerging technology for ubiquitous positioning (UP), especially in...
متن کاملConductivity Coefficient Modeling in Degenerate and Non-Degenerate Modes on GNSs
Carbon nanoscrolls (CNSs) with tubular structure similar to the open multiwall carbonnanotube have been of hot debate during recent years. Due to its unique property, Graphene Nanoscroll (GNS) have attracted many research groups’ attention and have been used by them. They specially studied on energy storage devices such as batteries and super capacitors. These devices can be schematically...
